Designed and developed a custom consulting website to communicate engineering capabilities, professional experience and independent projects through a clear and structured digital platform.
The project covers information architecture, visual design, responsive frontend development, reusable components, project case-study structures, version control and deployment.
Rather than using a generic portfolio template, the platform was designed around the specific requirements of an independent engineering consultancy.

01PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS
More than a portfolio website.
The primary requirement was to create a professional digital presence capable of presenting engineering capability and establishing credibility independently from third-party freelance platforms.
The platform needed to communicate services, professional projects, technical experience, references and independent engineering work without overwhelming the visitor.
Scalability was considered from the beginning so new projects, technical case studies and future products could be introduced without restructuring the entire site.

Built as a maintainable frontend system.
Astro was selected as the frontend framework with reusable layouts, navigation, content structures and shared components supporting the different sections of the platform.
Shared global styling establishes the core design system while specialised page styles allow areas such as Work and Lab to evolve independently.
Responsive behaviour allows the same content architecture to adapt across desktop and smaller displays without maintaining separate versions of the site.
